With so many people trying to go back to college and having trouble paying for it, the government has come up with some income guidelines for pell grants so that the government can distinguish about who can qualify for this sought after grant. •        Salary – The first thing that is one of the income guidelines for pell grants is the salary.  People who make less than $20K annually gross will qualify automatically.  If you go over this amount, you might be able to qualify but you will get less than someone who made that amount. If you’re on Social Security or on disability, you should let your school know that because if you’re disabled you may be able to get more help.
